Garden Center Holiday Promotion

Designed by Eva Hofer for Fresh Produce, this Garden Center holiday promotion was a successful and fun challenge for our shop! Dark green and silver ink colors were run on our cylinder letterpress and then diecut into tree garland by Moberly's Print Shop here in Sioux Falls. The tree garland then came back to us to be folded and shipped to our client. The quantity for this run was 8000!

Kirby/Dayani Wedding

We have designed and printed wedding stationery for the Kirby/Dayani wedding due to take place this weekend. The bride's family is from South Dakota, however the couple lives out of state. We had an initial consultation in person with mother and bride at our design studio in Sioux Falls. The remaining decisions and proof approval happened via phone and email without issues. Below are more details about their wedding stationery for their event.

Ceremony Program. The ceremony program is similar to the New Jersey Wedding Salon program except that we will be using different papers. The back cover is Stardream mars cover paper that has been diecut into a pretty shape. The front cover is Gilbert Esse pearlized latte cover paper that has also been diecut. The front cover is two color letterpress in gold and chocolate inks. The inside pages will be digitally printed with their ceremony information on cream matte paper. The program will be secured with Midori double-faced satin almond ribbon (3/8" width).

Menu Cards. The couple chose a diecut circle menu card on Stardream mars cover paper with gold ink. Their reception table uses primarily gold and cream colors for the linens, so the red menu card should be striking. The menu card will fit perfectly into the plate charger.

Place Cards. The mother of the bride fell in love with our diecut aspen leaves. We are using two papers for the place cards, Stardream mars and Stardream antique gold cover paper. The diecut leaves are hole-punched and set with gold grommets. We are providing gold organdy ribbon (7/8" width). Their wedding coordinator will inscribe the leaves and then hang them, using the ribbon, from tree branches. This should be a stunning fall display for guests upon entering the reception area.

Beverly Hills Wedding Salon - A Success!

The Wedding Salon in Beverly Hills was on Wednesday, September 26th at The Four Seasons Hotel. As mentioned in our earlier post, we printed the programs for the event that was handed out to more than 600 brides and vendors.

Our program was printed on Gilbert Esse pearlized latte cover paper for the front cover and Curious Metallics ionised cover paper for the back cover. We secured the program with two grommets. The inside pages were digitally printed on our Indigo press.

The event itself was, of course, over the top. The best vendors in the wedding industry showcased their services at the event with style. We met some wonderful couples and event planners at this exciting show. For more information, visit the the Wedding Salon at weddingsalon.com.

Spark Travels to LA!

Spark is traveling to Beverly Hills at the end of this month in order to attend The Wedding Salon, a luxury bridal showcase featuring the best of the best in the wedding industry. We have already attended shows in New York City and Somerset, New Jersey and also plan to attend the Miami show in November. Visit www.weddingsalon.com for more information.

We design and print the programs for the The Wedding Salon - approximately 700 programs to produce for the LA show. Our programs have a letterpress printed cover (Gilbert Esse Paper), diecut into a purse shape with digitally printed program pages inside. Check out the last two programs we did for the Wedding Salon this year. We think they are a wonderful example of how to combine letterpress and digital offset printing.

Stay tuned for what we produce for the LA show!

Rainone/Roofener Wedding

One of our first Spark Couture clients, Danielle Rainone and Ted Roofener, decided to work with us to create their wedding invitation sets in part because we do the design and printing all at our facility allowing them and us the greatest amount of control over the quality and look of the final product.

Each set includes a printed outer envelope with a printed liner, an blank inner envelope also with a different printed liner, and a main invitation panel printed on 4-ply Rising Museum Board in White. Three additional panel cards are printed on Rising Museum Board in White, only using 2-ply so they are set apart from the main invitation. The three panel cards are sized differently so they are different from each other. The reception card is the smallest, the welcome celebration card is next and then the reply card is on the bottom since it had the most information. The panel cards and reply envelope are enclosed in a Gilbert Esse Espresso 100# cover wrap, with a white Arturo printed band holding the wraps shut. We have a picture of the press in action printing the envelope liners, as well as some new images we just shot of her entire set.
